I don’t usually have strong opinions about how artists design their setlists, but having attended two different shows, one with an encore featuring Likey, the song that first led me to discover TWICE, and Feel Special, the song that made me appreciate their discography on a deeper level, I have to say this… Feel Special is so deeply embedded in any ONCE’s psyche that its very presence makes the experience more poignant and memorable. The opportunity to do the fanchant adds another layer altogether. I love the tour, and I do love Takedown, but I truly hope Feel Special becomes a permanent fixture in the encore.
Note: I was still very lucky to be in Seattle, even though I wasn’t close to the stage this time. Seeing the full formations from a distance actually made me appreciate their hard work even more.
