I have been down the rabbit hole of this concert all day today and it's been both hilarious and eye opening to see unfold as the day has gone on.

Background: Last night in Belfast the K-Pop forever concert took place. A majority of the attendees were families with their young children as the way the event has been marketed the assumption was made that it was a tribute concert to the movie "kpop demon hunters" and not kpop the genre as a whole.

And when the parents realised this they were fuming with some posting on tiktok about their disappointment at it "not being as advertised" when they themselves clearly didn't read the fine print on what the event was going to be. These parents are now demanding refunds because it "wasn't as advertised" and it's like they only realised that k-pop is a genre of music and not just a movie.

Tiktoks from angry parents who posted about it:

The arena has defended the choice to host the show they said in the following statement on their Facebook

"We are aware of some feedback received following the K-Pop Forever Tribute show this evening at The SSE Arena, Belfast.

The show played in Belfast tonight as part of a world tour, and the content, design and choreography has been built to represent the full K-Pop genre, featuring songs from BTS, Blackpink and Katseye, as well as eight hits from Demon Hunters including ‘Golden’, ’Takedown’ and 'Soda Pop’.

Whilst the majority of customers enjoyed the show, we understand that this was not what some expected; however, we are content that the show delivered this evening was an arena-standard tribute to the entire K-Pop genre."

To me this is a clear case of the parents should have read the fineprint before purchasing tickets. Not too sure what you all think of this ongoing situation.
