I tried translating K-pop lyrics into English, but I didn’t want it to sound like normal subtitles.
A literal translation can explain the meaning, but sometimes the feeling of the lyrics becomes weaker in English. So I tried making a more poetic English version while still keeping the original emotion.
To me, the lyrics feel like youth, uncertainty, hope, and that moment when you’re scared but still choose to move forward.
I’m curious what other K-pop fans think.
Does this kind of poetic translation make the lyrics hit harder in English, or does it feel too rewritten?
