The difference between Zoey’s parents in K pop demon hunters.

Did you notice this about Zoe’s parents? In the movie, Zoe sings about living two lives. At first, it sounds like she’s talking about emotions. But during the golden song, when she sings that line, we can see one male and one female hand, both trying to pull her toward them. This likely represents her parents, one American and one Korean. That would mean Zoe grew up between two very different cultures. She probably had a hard time fitting in or connecting with people on either side. This also explains the scene where she hurts her back while bowing to the Saja Boys. Unlike Meera and Room, she’s not used to traditional Korean gestures.
