Saw babymonster latest MV of 'psycho' and honestly i liked new creative direction, its been while to have such horror/creepy concept….i enjoyed it until i saw some shorts claiming "baemon copying bp", "yg copying yg" or pointing out similarities
and what was those similarities?- grills, chains, skyscraper shot, multiple faces in background, using of Japanese art form (funny how Japanese members using japanese culture is Label as BP or aespa thing)
and i was like, if this what called 'similarities' isn't other 100 mvs are also similar? at this point it felt same as 'they are similar becoz they both are breathing'…..it felt ppl are trying to push narrative of "BM is copy of BP" with very classic Mv scenes
the fact Blackpink themselves took inspiration from other artists, and i never think kpop is very 'authentic' thats why this 'X copying Y' don't make sense most of the time, and i hate when ppl use this to hate other group
if you don't like baemon its is fine but this "bp 2.0" discussion is getting tired with every comeback
