(BTW I’ll be using they/them pronouns because it is unclear what specific ones the K-pop spy uses.)

This post has been brewing for a while and after someone else made a post about it I finally feel like it’s time to talk about it. For those of you rhat don’t know the K-pop spy is a channel on YT with over 20k subs that covers unpopular opinions, scandals, and anything major in it the k-pop industry. Yesterday all their videos except their latest release was taken down, and they are very upset about it. This is valid of course I may not like their content but id be disappointed if someone took down all my videos that had lots of hard work put into them. However I was surprised at the post they made that was supposed to be a joke. The pics of said post are above this paragraph.

Blaming a teenager for your channel being taken down even as a joke is a serious low imo. Obviously it stems from the fact that Patricia (k-pop spy real name) constantly criticized Ahyeon and they think the Monstiez fandom are the ones that potentially hacked them because they don’t actually know who yet.

Also this channel is problematic outside of this specific post. It’s been reported multiple times that this person uses Reddit posts, twitter threads, and other users TikToks and then just generates them into an ai/automated voice so they can post it on YT.

They unfairly criticize idols for their mistakes, Ahyeon is just one example. They did this with Twice after VS and Aespa after their performances in the US, Enhypen’s music etc. There’s many more examples but with their content taken down it’s harder to remember off the top of my head.

Patricia still has people who enjoy the content even though some of it’s taken from others. Everyone in the comment section has sent their condolences to this situation despite everything I just mentioned.

Please don’t downvote this if I mentioned groups you don’t like. This channel is problematic and it needs to be said.
