I know them since their debut in 2019. Until the point they released "Not Shy", I completely stopped listening to k-pop in general. Last few months I have been listening to their full discography multiple times. Few years ago I saw the hate on the internet when they released "Sneakers". NGL those hate comments made a bad taste in my mind.
I kept neglecting ITZY's music until recent release. Internet told me they are bad and done as a 4th generation group. "Sneakers" is a good song? No but I like it now. It grew on me now but when I first hear it it was cringy. I am amazed that they have a big discography and I like almost most of it. Yes just a few songs felt like just filler songs. I don't know why JYPE keep forcing them to appeal Japanese audience. I know TWICE is big in Japan so they release a lot for JP audience. Many korean songs are recorded in multiple languages. I don't mind because I can skip it. Only thing I didn't like about their discography is their lack of full album. Only one full Korean album in 6+ years is so sad. I don't follow concert performance, Music Videos, Theme etc so others experience may be different. I usually only listen full album / ep and if I don't enjoy I never touch it simple. This year will be ITZY's 7th year in the industry. I want them to keep making music. I might be a bit biased because even though for a long time I never touched their music, Yeji and Ryujin were my favorite girls from kpop.
