Bang Chan is often called "corny" or "cringe" by people online but that is a very minor thing to bully someone for. It is especially strange when you compare it to other K-pop idols who have been involved in actual scandals or serious allegations. Many of the same people who bully Bang Chan will also go out of their way to relentlessly defend other celebrities who have done things that are truly offensive.
If you do not like a specific K-pop idol, the easiest thing to do is simply ignore them. Choosing to bully someone for small or nonsensical reasons says a lot more about your character than it does about theirs. It seems that many people in online fan communities have stopped seeing celebrities as actual human beings. Instead, they treat these stars like digital punching bags. The most alarming part is that these same bullies often get very quiet when an idol reveals they are struggling with mental health issues. It is incredibly fake to preach about mental health awareness online while you are actively contributing to someone’s distress.
Furthermore, there is a serious lack of logic in this behavior. It makes no sense to post a hate tweet calling someone a "loser" and then act like a victim when that person finally responds or sticks up for themselves. Truly happy people who are satisfied with their own lives do not spend their time attacking others on the internet. Another weird thing is that this person seems to stan a group which one of the members is also criticized for being corny.
It is honestly concerning to see how many people encourage bullying behavior behind a screen while pretending to be kind and morally superior in real life. You cannot claim to hate bullying and then participate in it just because you are hiding behind an anonymous account.
