YG is planning on launching a new boy group this fall according. This will be the first male group they have debuted since Treasure six years ago. Yang Hyunsuk apparently mentioned he’s been watching a team of trainees for a while now and plans to get them out by the end of 2026 as part of some internal reforms to speed up their album production and artist discovery.

Also apparently there is another group in the works called "Next Monster"(Not sure if that’s the group name or just the project name) which is a four member girl group. They already showed off two of the members named Evelli and Chanya in some videos last year and Yang said the other two members will be revealed pretty soon.

The article also gave a bunch of updates for their current groups which is cool I guess. Babymonster is supposed to drop a new EP in May with a lead single called Choom which means dance. They are also doing a second world tour starting in June and hitting South America and Europe before dropping a full length album later in the fall. It seems like a pretty packed schedule for them compared to how YG usually handles things.

Treasure is also getting a comeback in June with a new EP that is supposed to be a hip-hop concept. Apparently the members went to Yang Hyunsuk personally to ask to do more hip-hop so he is calling this their second chapter. It’s weird to see so much news coming out of YG at once but I guess we will see if they actually stick to the timeline or if things get delayed like usual.
