i created a compilation of kpop songs that have:

– traditional korean instruments (i.e haegeum, gayageum, jing)

– traditional korean choreos (i.e lion folk dance, masked dance)

– traditional korean outfits (i.e hanbok & gat)

– symbols of korea (i.e kings, palaces, tiger)

– meanings specific to korean culture & history (see: turtle ship by smtm4 and shoot! by haha and mino)

pls let me know if there’s more that i am missing! i think i am only missing ive’s heya for now :”)

i hope more groups release this type of concept and music (kingdom we love you <3).

it’s so interesting and mesmerizing to see cool and modernized touch to their culture and heritage. street women fighter has insanely difficult and intricate choreos that i hope to see in future kpop groups (see: (1) & (2))

i j think companies nowadays are rly wasting the chance to showcase korea to the world audience. like wdym we are chasing trends from the west or doing tiktok dances when we could have THIS?
