So initially I was wondering about possibly building a local music server and streaming remotely through a service from home and tracking plays through connecting the media player or device through or getting a portable music player like an iPod with iTunes or an android os based player but I ran into issues with not wanting to convert my ripped music files to alac. I also decided getting an android player since it would defeat the purpose of doomscrolling too much because I would’ve eventually tried going on the wider net on it.
I ended up getting a onkyo music player and it’s honestly been a blast organizing my music files and after thinking about it I don’t really need to track my plays and if anything my taste has never really changed that much. Listening to high res music has also been fun noticing aspects of songs that usually sounded too muddy to hear on streaming.
I’d like to get better listening gear so if anyone has earphones or headphone recommendations that are good for female vocals since I mostly listen to ggs that would be great.
